We all know an Obama presidency is hazardous to freedom and liberty. He is now trying to bypass the Senate and impose a treaty on America that could shred the First Amendment.

This is very urgent and we must take action to stop it.

What is this crisis?

The crisis is something called the Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement or ACTA.

ACTA is an agreement that was signed on October 1, 2011. ACTA is in fact a treaty but Barack Obama wants this agreement accepted as a “Sole Executive Agreement.” Basically this means the constitutional provision that the Senate ratify treaties is thrown out and Barack Obama acts like a dictator.

ACTA is even worse than SOPA or PIPA. ACTA creates a new international governing body which controls counterfeit goods, generic medicines and pirated copyright protected works.

ACTA gives Copyright holders the power to demand Internet Service Providers (ISPs) remove allegedly copyrighted material from a website without a court hearing. It permits foreign governments to exercise control of ISPs in America. Those who are supporting ACTA also want an Internet death penalty that would cut off Internet access for those who “offend.” The only way to enforce such a mechanism would be to create an Internet ID that you must have to access the Internet.

Any claim of copyright infringement will require the ISP to remove the content from the website, without your constitutional right to your day in court. Tyrants all over the world want to crush a free press and free speech. Why would anyone think Barack Obama is any different?

Perhaps the most alarming part of this ACTA agreement is that it would create an international body that would supersede Congress’ authority. Can you imagine having your rights for freedom of speech to be adjudicated by Iran and China as opposed to American courts?

Does anyone see the problems with this?

This is a Treaty not a “sole executive agreement,” so it must go to the Senate for ratification. Even then, Article 1, Section 8 of the Constitution gives the authority for laws regarding intellection property specifically to Congress and not to the President.

As we stopped the attacks on the Constitution by SOPA and PIPA, we must now see ACTA killed.

Call your Congressman and Senators about this today. Your Senators need to demand the ACTA agreement be put to the Senate as a treaty so it can be voted down.

We also need our Senators and Congressmen to work to defund ACTA. Congress must strip all funding for anything related to ACTA from negotiation to enforcement of it until we can get the Senate to officially reject this treaty.

Barack Obama does not like our Republic. He would much rather be a dictator so he could simply do what he wants without bothering to ask we the people or getting the consent of our representatives.

Fortunately we still live in a Republic and America is still a free nation.

Call your Senators and Congressman today!

Your tax dollars at work is something of a joke. If you hear that line, whether meant seriously by someone in the government or by someone with common sense (in other words, someone who does not work for the government) you know your tax dollars are being squandered and wasted.

Once again, the government is spending our money and it is pretty outrageous. What are they doing?

The Obama regime wants to spend $800 million to help the “Arab spring.”

Is this a winning the future moment?

Why should we be spending a dime to help the “Arab spring?”

Let’s do a quick review of the Arab spring. We know the Obama regime hates facts but the facts paint a very damning picture.

Egypt fell during the Arab spring. Mubarak was not a very nice guy but he kept the peace with Israel and was our ally. He did not let the crazy Islamists run wild. He could have done more to protect his Christian minority but generally did not make war on them.

Now that he is gone, the Muslim Brotherhood is in the process of consolidating power and Egypt is about to go the way of Iran. The fall of Egypt has destabilized the region as they now threaten war with Israel.

Libya fell to the Arab spring. Again, Qaddafi was no saint but he had voluntarily given up his weapons of mass destruction program. He was not actively support Al-Qaeda, the Taliban or any of the other groups that were making war on the west. Now, who is replacing Qaddafi? It is Al-Qaeda in Libya, featuring leaders who were once held in Guantanamo.

In Syria, rebel forces now fly the black Al-Qaeda flag. What will happen when they replace the Assad regime? Again, Assad is no nice guy but what will replace him could be a lot worse.

The Arab spring is nothing more than a revolution sweeping the region, replacing stable, if not neutral or in the case of Egypt a pro-western leader, with radical Islamists who want war with the west.

And this benefits America how?

The answer is, it does not.

Obama is true to his radical roots, supporting those groups who are anti-Western and anti-American. He probably gets a real laugh out of the idea of the American taxpayer subsidizing these groups.

We all need to ask our Congressman and Senators the following questions:

Why are we supporting the Arab Spring at all?
Why are we sending our tax dollars to support groups and nations that are militantly anti-American?
Why are we sending billions in aid to Egypt now that they are going down the road of radical Islam?
Why are we sending billions of dollars in aid to Egypt while they hold 19 Americans hostage?

Inquiring minds want to know the answer to these questions.

Media double standards are amazing and they never change. If a Democrat is in the White House, negative stories about them are either swept under the rug or minimized if they cannot be ignored.

Where are Michelle Obama and her children this weekend?

Good luck finding out about this on the drive by media.

So what is going on?

Michelle Obama and her daughters have gone to Aspen this weekend for a ski trip.

What is the reaction of most Americans? Gee, that must be nice.

Now, in Obama’s America, gas prices are driving towards record levels and may be there by Memorial Day. Unemployment, if you believe the cooked books of the Obama regime, is above 8%. If you look at the real numbers it is about 15%.

Many Americans are losing their homes and the only mobility in American society seems to be a downward mobility. Yet, this is now the 16th Obama family vacation in three years.

Do you know anyone, who even in good times takes five vacations a year?

Can you imagine what the drive by media would be doing if a Republican were in the White House?

A few months ago, CBS News, ever diligent in its duties to defend the Obama regime, pointed out that George W. Bush had made more trips to Texas at this point in his Presidency than Obama has.

Bush took trips back to his ranch in Crawford Texas. He did not go to luxury vacation spots.

And under the heading of facts are really tough things to deal with, at the time Bush was taking his trips back to his home, unemployment was under 5% and the economy was growing rapidly. Regular Americans could afford vacations.

Obama does not act like a public servant. He acts like a ruler.

Obama does not get the idea that leaders lead from the front.

During World War II, the King and Queen of England refused to be evacuated from London during the height of the blitz. Why? They were going to share the fate and difficulties of their people.

As for Obama? He would certainly like to be King or at least a dictator. But he is like all socialists. Who cares what the regular people are going through, as long as he has his vacations and his Wagyu steak? Wagyu steak, which is one of Obama’s favorites, goes for $100 a serving.

There is a new reality for many Americans over 50. Thanks to Obama and the Democrats, their jobs are gone and they are not coming back anytime soon. Many of them have now exhausted their unemployment benefits and out of desperation are trying to get on disability.

This is their new reality. They have gone from working to being a part of the dependency class. Their golden years are not going to be what their parents had. Unless things change soon, their golden years will simply be years of poverty, punctuated by claims every two years that electing Republicans will cause them to lose their disability payments.

American burns but Obama is not fiddling. He is off taking another vacation.

There is a date coming when our debt will finally come due. We have been corroing and spending and now it is inevitable.

Thanks to the Democrats and less than bright Republicans, that date is coming much sooner.

From The Hill:

Last summer’s bitter clash over the debt limit took the nation to the brink of default, resulting in the first-ever downgrade of U.S. securities.

The debt-ceiling agreement lawmakers approved in August established a cooling-off period, with enough borrowing to see the country through until after the November election.

But a sequel to the debt-ceiling drama could be coming to Washington sooner than planned, thanks to the billions of dollars in deficit spending in the payroll tax agreement.

“There has been this sort of confidence that the existing debt limit would get us through the election. … It may turn out the timing is trickier than people had anticipated,” said Maya McGuineas, president of the Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget. “Anything that adds to the debt means that it moves the deadline up.”

The latest package extended the payroll tax cut for the rest of 2012, along with unemployment benefits and the current Medicare reimbursement rates for doctors.

The Congressional Budget Office (CBO) estimates that in the short term, the payroll package will add $101 billion to the deficit, which effectively erases a month of wiggle room under the $16.394 trillion debt cap. The government’s public debt currently sits at $15.39 trillion.

“Since this is not paid for entirely … in the short run, this is going to accelerate the debt ceiling,” said Steve Bell, the senior director of economic policy for the Bipartisan Policy Center. He said the government takes on roughly $100 billion of debt per month.

The Democrats outmaneuvered the Republicans. They really had no choice. They could have sat there and been slaughtered by the press on the issue of the payroll tax cut.

There is a silver lining to this cloud. Because we are spending so much money, the debt ceiling will now be hit before the election.

We need to make this upcoming election the referendum on the Obama regime and spending.

The best remedy for us is to simply stop borrowing. There is a plan. It is called the No more red ink campaign. If we stop borrowing, we must balance the budget.

For more information on the No More Red Ink campaign go to www.nomoreredink.com.

Paul Babeu has been a rising star in Republican circles until this weekend. Sheriff Paul Babeu was accused of having a homosexual relationship with another man and when that relationship went south, trying to have the man deported.

Sheriff Paul Bebeu has been in the forefront in the battle against not only the Mexican cartels but also against the Attorney General of the United States.

Sheriff Paul Babeu is running for the House of Representatives from the 4th Congressional District in Arizona. How much these allegations will damage his campaign remains to be seen. He was Mitt Romney’s state co-chair in Arizona. (Well no one is perfect).

Last week at CPAC, I had the chance to interview Sheriff Paul Babeu. It was not the first time I had met him. About a year and a half ago I met him on the border. A few months ago, I met him at a Tea Party event in North Carolina.

I just received new video gear right before CPAC and one of the joys of new equipment is the first few times you use it, things do not always turn out the way they are supposed to. Sheriff Paul was one of the first people I interviewed at CPAC and you can see we had some problems with the video.

I was not going to publish the interview but in light of the developments of the last couple of days, you should hear from Sheriff Paul Babeu directly.

I am waiting with great interest to see how many news organizations are going to mention tomorrow that it is the third anniversary of Rick Santelli’s famous rant on the floor of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

As CNBC began talking about the Obama stimulus program, history was made:

Three years later a lot has changed. The nation is now $15 trillion in debt. We have had socialist healthcare shoved down our throats.

America teeters on the brink. America’s survival is by no means guaranteed. Santelli said what the government was doing was promoting bad behavior. That is exactly right. That is the great difference between the free market and a government-controlled economy.

The free market encourages good behavior while the government-controlled economy, including crony capitalism, encourages bad behavior.

Santelli’s rant launched the Tea Party movement. The Tea Party movement saved the Republican Party from oblivion in 2010 and despite our efforts the GOP is trying to commit political suicide in 2012.

If America can be saved, and that is a very big if, the Tea Party movement will claim a large credit for it and Santelli’s rant will be remembered as the spark that launched it.

Ready, fire, AIM! No, that is not a typo. It is a realization of life. Anyone who has ever run a business knows you make course corrections as the business or the project goes along.

There is one course correction that a lot of us need to make. What is it?

I have changed course on one major issue.

That issue is, what happens if Mitt Romney or another liberal Republican becomes the GOP nominee?

My strategy has been and still remains to keep Mitt Romney from being the Republican nominee. There are a few people who could be worse nominees for the GOP. Mark Foley being one. Duke Cunningham being another. But beyond that, the list is pretty thin.

Establishment Republicans are getting nervous and have already started talking about what happens if Romney loses Michigan. If Romney loses, the establishment will be begging and pleading for Jeb Bush to jump into the race.

Wait; weren’t we just talking about candidates who might be worse than Mitt Romney?

The ultimate question remains, what do we conservatives do if those idiots in the RINO/Establishment wing of the party succeed in giving us another moderate/liberal as the nominee? What do we do if we find ourselves looking at another John McCain?

In the past, I have certainly hinted that if Romney were the nominee, I would stay home.

I have changed my mind.

What changed my mind?

Barack Obama did.

Do not get me wrong. A liberal Republican would be a disaster. Newt Gingrich at CPAC said we need a president who is not simply going to manage our decline, but we need a President who is going to change our trajectory.

A liberal Republican, and I don’t care which name you plug in there, will manage our decline.

As bad as a liberal Republican who will just manage our decline is, Barack Obama is worse. He recently announced plans to unilaterally reduce our nuclear weapons stockpile by 80%. He is gutting our military. He is doing everything in his power to destroy America as a superpower.

I don’t care how bad any of the potential liberal Republicans are, including Romney, none of them are anti-American Marxists.

None of them will deliberately weaken America so her enemies can destroy her. They may make bad policy decisions but they will not try to deliberately destroy our nation.

It makes me sick but if Mitt Romney is the nominee, I’m going to go out and vote for him. I’m not going to vote for a third party. I’m not going to simply not vote.

The good news is we still have time. This race remains a three-way race. We are ten days out from Michigan. There are a couple of possibilities for that primary. The first is that Romney does to Santorum what he did to Gingrich in Florida. If he damages Santorum, where are those voters going to go? They will not go to Romney and I doubt many of them will stay home. Gingrich may see a large pick up.

If some how Santorum hangs on, and beats Romney and especially if he beats him by a significant margin, Romney is finished. One top GOP Senator said on ABC News: “If Romney cannot win Michigan, we need a new candidate,” said the senator, who has not endorsed anyone and requested anonymity.

Las Vegas billionaire Sheldon Adelson just dropped another ten million dollars into Gingrich’s super Pac, so this race is not over yet.

My strategy remains to prevent the nightmare scenario of having to vote for a liberal Republican by getting a conservative nominated. But we also have to remember; we must defeat Obama in the election this fall.

Failure here is not an option.

Liberals tend to think of the Constitution as just some old document that should be ignored early and often. It is at best an inconvenience and occasionally something they can use against real Americans.

One Senator in particular is ignoring the Constitution. His actions fly in the face of the mandates of the Constitution and he makes a farce of it by his actions.

Who is the liberal and what is he doing?

It is liberal Republican Richard Lugar of Indiana. He is the unconstitutional Senator.

Why is he the Unconstitutional Senator?

Lugar was a resident of Indiana in 1976 when he was first elected to the Senate. He left for Washington in 1977 and now lives in Washington. His address in Indiana is a hotel. He does have partial ownership of a farm but the farm has no residence on it. According to published sources, he stays either in hotels or with friends when he comes back to Indiana.

Article One, Section Three, Clause three of the Constitution states:

No Person shall be a Senator who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty Years, and been nine Years a Citizen of the United States, and who shall not, when elected, be an Inhabitant of that State for which he shall be chosen.

There is no argument that in 1977, Richard Lugar was an inhabitant of Indiana. Now he is not. Lugar has not owned a home in Indiana since 1977. Lugar has no physical residence in Indiana. He still lists the home he sold in 1977 as his voting residence.

Lugar’s conduct is so outrageous that Tea Party members in Indiana have filed complaints alleging that Lugar is engaging in voter fraud when he returns to Indiana to vote.

Lugar has tried to analogize his tenure in Washington to military service. A member of the military gets to claim their last state of residence for all purposes until they leave military service.

For a liberal Republican to compare his self-enrichment at the taxpayers’ expense to those who wear the uniform of America’s armed services is to put it mildly, extremely offensive.

The Indiana Senate primary is May 8th. This primary will be the one of the first tests of the Tea Party this year. Various Tea Party groups have endorsed Richard Mourdock, Lugar’s opponent in the primary.

If we can defeat liberal Richard Lugar, we can send a message. Much as 2010 became the year of the Tea Party election, we the Tea Party can get 2012 off to a strong start by defeating Lugar.

Here is what you need to do.

Please forward a copy of this blog to everyone in your Tea Party group. If you wish to repost it on a website or reprint it in a Tea Party newsletter, permission is granted.

Ask your local Tea Party group to get together and have a money bomb for Richard Mourdock. Even if it is not a great deal of money, remember this. Richard Lugar is the crown prince of the RINOs. There are many in the Washington establishment who want to see him reelected because if he is reelected he will continue to be Barack Obama’s favorite Republican. Those in the Washington establishment will continue to fund him as long as they believe he can win.

The Primary is still two and a half months away, but consider how you can volunteer. If you are in Indiana or close to Indiana, consider joining the campaign for a weekend or a week. They will need boots on the ground, especially as the election draws closer.

Even if you cannot make it to Indiana, there are still opportunities. With modern technology, you can phone bank for a candidate from anywhere in the United States.

This is our first big fight of 2012. We need to win.

Join me in this fight and on May 8th, we will ask Lugar and the GOP establishment, “Can you hear us now?”
