The media is in overdrive today as they try to kill Newt Gingrich’s candidacy and his chances in the Florida primary.
In short, the same bright lights who told us that John McCain would be a good Presidential candidate and John Boehner would be a good House Speaker are now telling us that Mitt Romney will be a good Republican nominee.

It’s as if the conservative media over the past 24 hours decided Gingrich is for real, and they need to come clean about the man they really know before it’s too late. This is just a sampling of what’s hitting Newt:
• The overnight Drudge Report banner: “Insider: Gingrich repeatedly Insulted Reagan.” The headline linked to a devastating takedown by Elliott Abrams in the National Review, who wrote, among other things, that Gingrich had a long record of criticizing and undermining Reagan’s most transformative policies.
• Drudge also linked prominently to the American Spectator’s R. Emmett Tyrrell, Jr.’s similarly harsh takedown of Gingrich over character: “William Jefferson Gingrich.” In it, Tyrrell writes: “Newt and Bill are 1960s generation narcissists, and they share the same problems: waywardness and deviancy. Newt, like Bill, has a proclivity for girl hopping… His public record is already besmeared with tawdry divorces, and there are private encounters with the fair sex that doubtless will come out.”
Drudge runs hundreds of links to stories of all stripes about candidates, but has been seen by Republicans as favorable to Romney in the past.
• Bob Dole issued a scathing statement Thursday that the Romney campaign provided to the National Review in which he said “it is now time” to rally to stop Gingrich, blamed the former Speaker for losing House Republican seats in 1996, and warned that it could happen again, at all levels of government.
“I have not been critical of Newt Gingrich but it is now time to take a stand before it is too late,” Dole said. “If Gingrich is the nominee it will have an adverse impact on Republican candidates running for county, state, and federal offices. Hardly anyone who served with Newt in Congress has endorsed him and that fact speaks for itself. He was a one-man-band who rarely took advice. It was his way or the highway.”
Oh yes, we need to listen to Bob Dole. When Reagan was President, Bob Dole wanted to raise taxes. In 1984, Dole wanted the Republican Platform changed so that the GOP establishment would have the excuse to push for raising taxes. It was one, Newt Gingrich, who stood against the future Viagra salesman and dubbed him the “tax collector for the welfare state.”
There are only two candidates left. They are Mitt Romney and Newt Gingrich. Rick Santorum is finished after Florida. So the Republican establishment is going all in to stop Newt Gingrich and deliver the nomination to Mitt Romney.
Mitt Romney is a liberal. There are no two ways about it. He supported liberals before becoming a Republican to run against Ted Kennedy. He acted like a liberal when he ran. He acted like a liberal between the time he ran for the Senate and the time he was elected governor. He governed as a liberal. He only started talking like a conservative when he needed to in order to get elected President.
The question we need to be asking ourselves is why is the Republican establishment going all in to get a liberal elected and keeping the Tea Party from delivering the nomination to someone who is not a liberal.
Anybody who would pay attention to anything Bob Dole says has a few marbles loose. As for the MSM, we all know what a bunch of pathetic Obama brown-nosers they are. I’m supprised some of them are not dead yet considering how far their heads have disappeared.
Liberals don’t die with their heads that far up Barrack’s derriere.

Why do conservatives attack conservatives? It defeats the whole party!
Conservatives generally do not attack other conservatives. Mitt Romney is fair game because he is not a conservative.
There isn’t a Conservative running that wants less taxes, smaller government, less regulation; Romney and Newt both in there own words have not stood by the this. Ron Paul is close, but he is a true Libertarian riding the Republican coattails. What I am afraid of is more of the same, unless the TEA Party can activate more House and Senate control in Nov. You have to have an army that believes to rally the leader.
WHO IS BOB DOLE? I have never heard of this guy. Is he a liberal or is he RINO? There are so many good things about Newt, but they all ignore it. They don’t want another Reagan, they want another George Bush. Dont’ get me wrong, I liked Bush for the most part, but I want reagan. I was not around when Reagan was President so I had to miss that one lol. I want what he stood for. I have listened to him on youtube, I have chatted it up with his son Michael Reagan, I have read his stuff and did all kinds of research on this man that so many talked about. He is Newt, Newt is close to what he was, maybe Newt is stronger vocally. Newt understands all things that have been going on recently, he sees what WE don’t even see, he knows more than Romney, or Santorum or Paul. He has delt with the liberals as enemies and friendly. He understands how they work better then most. He could work with them in making the USA the USA again! He would either tell liberals that they are being stupid and not caring for the USA or he can say..well I am not really happy about so and so, but maybe we can find a middle, on issues that will not hurt the American people. He would tell them, You spend one more cent I will flip out!
That’s why Newt is MY MAN! And he is kind of cute.

The current attacks on Newt could rather easily backfire. Newt has been running as being out of the ruling class loop – even though he has been in and around Washington for a long time. The fact that the ruling class is attacking him with a degree of vitriol that is seldom seen cements his position. It seems to me that the more that someone is seen as being an enemy by the ruling class, the more he will be desired by the rest of us – hopefully normal people. I am a bit surprised by Drudge, but not the rest. Much of the stuff is unproven (and unprovable) anyway.
Katie ~ You’ve got it pretty much straight. Newt has been my choice since he entered. Although, he was forced to resign under Democratic personal and political onslaught and trumped-up false charges, HE WAS EXONERATED by a democratic IRS three years later!
AFTER he paid $300,000.00 in fines and his career in politics was ruined. The RINO’s, liberals and Republican old guard FEAR this man ~ he does not play by their rules. He is a conservative of the Goldwater / Reagan school ( if you don’t remember Reagan,I’m pretty sure you will not remember Barry Goldwater either, very fine conservative gentleman and Arizona Politician.)
We need a man of Newt’s caliber as our President in 2012. And a Senate and House that will back him to the wall.

I have had the same question. They are attempting to do the same thing in my district, 5th Congressional District of the State of Minnesota; while I am trying to defeat radical Islamist Keith Ellison. I need help here in the 5th. The Ron Paul Libertarians are also trying to take over here. Again, I need help. I am trying to rally conservatives to get involved here in the 5th. All we need, out of 750,000 people, is about 10 to 20 people per Senate District. If we did so, we would win.
Please remember that Ronald Reagan was a Democrat before he was Republican.
